To keep my Mom’s brain active and stimulated after her stroke, I would show her images I had saved as inspiration and ask her to choose one for me to paint.  When she excitedly chose this one, I panicked. No clouds? Rushing water? It turned out to be a wonderful departure from my previous paintings and a great challenge.  Thank you to Tyler Grove (@tylergrove10 on Instagram) for allowing me to use his photo taken in Grass River Provincial Park near The Pas, MB for inspiration.
